Sub-head 63.-Exhumation of Chinese Cemeteries, $1,000.-To provide for the
removal of Chinese graves which may obstruct development. 64.-Chinese Cemeteries-Laying out new areas, $4,000.--To provide for
new burial areas in existing cemeteries.

65.-Refuse Dump at Sung Wong Toi, $8,000. This is to provide facilities on the Eastern side of Kowloon Peninsula similar to those which have proved successful at Cheung Sha Wan in respect of the disposal of refuse by the Sanitary Department and is a continuation of work commenced in 1932.
66.-Laving a telephone cable between Kowloon Railway Station and Water Police Station, $3,000. The existing cable is completely occupied and this new one is to provide for the extra Police and Fire Brigade connections required by normal expansion.
WATER WORKS.
67.—Buck Lane Service Pipes, $12,000.-Provides for the extension of subsidiary service pipes in back lanes in newly developed properties to obviate the necessity for direct connection to principal mains. These subsidiary mains are eventually paid for by house owners when connections are applied for.
68. Distributing Mains, $15,000.--To provide for water mains to newly
developed areas.
69.-New Service Reservoir, Yaumati Hill, $39,000.-To complete. 70.--Distribution Circuit for New Reservoir, $30,000.-To complete the
new distribution circuit from Yaumati Hill Service Reservoir which is being installed in order to improve water pressure in Kowloon Point district.
PORT WORKS.
71.--Rubble Mound and wall between K.M.L. 97 and Sung Wong Toi Road, $20,000.-To permit the construction of a rubble mound and sea wall in accordance with the approved town planning scheme.
PUBLIC HEALTH AND BUILDINGS ORDINANCE
72.-Compensation and Resumption, $10,000.--For expenditure in the acquisition of buildings and land necessitated by Town Planning Improvement.
NEW KOWLOON.
BUILDINGS.
73.-Typhoon Signal Station between Kowloon Tong and Kowloon City, $3.00--No facilities exist to warn the surrounding developed area of the proximity of typhoons. To permit of the construction of a typhoon signal mast and hut of brick and lime mortar to house two coolies and the necessary day signals. Both day and night signals will be shown.

81.-Refuse Pier at Kweilin Street, Shamshuipo, $3,700.-To provide for the reconstruction of the refuse pier and chute so that it will be capable of taking motor dust cart traffic. The existing pier was constructed a considerable time ago for the use of hand carts.
82.-Refuse Dump at Cheung Sha Wan, $5,000-To continue the provision of facilities for the disposal of refuse collected by the Sanitary Depart- ment. An area still remains outside that which is earmarked for a possible Harbour of Refuge.
83.-Kowloon Tsai Development, $50,000.-To continue the site prepara-
tion in connection with this Garden City development. 84.-Levelling site of new Polo Ground and stream diversion, $18,000.-To divert a stream course and level a playing grounds area for use of the Polo Club. The Royal Naval Authorities are contributing $40,000 towards the total cost. On completion of the reprovisioning the Causeway Bay Area will be released as a Royal Naval Recreation Ground.
85.-Two postal Kiosks, $11.000.-To improve postal facilities in Sham
shuipo and Kowloon Tong-Prince Edward Road areas.
86. Police Revolver Range, $2.500-To provide an open revolver range
near No. 3 Railway Bridge.
